Independent Technical Review provides a client with an independent opinion on a technical case e.g. a safety case, a design solution, an operational model or compliance of a product to relevant standards. This technique is useful:

1. To reassure a client that they have made a good assessment of their own problem/issue.

2. Where there is not necessarily deep subject matter expertise within the client’s organization, to verify that that best solution/option has been made.

3. To reassure a client that another advisor is giving the ‘best’ advice for critical decisions.

4. To demonstrate the robustness of your solutions/activities to you customers, providing them with additional confidence.

5. To provide a client with independent evidence to demonstrate that required standards have been met in their products or operations.
